There was a meeting with Chinese guests at Baku State University

A meeting with the delegation of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, headed by Mr. Yu Zhigang, Member of the Constitutional and Legal Committee of the National People's Congress. The delegation included members of the People's Congress of China, Professor Pan Yue, Sun Ming, Wang Shuo, Tian Yuzhi, First Secretary of Political Affairs Department of the Embassy of China in Azerbaijan Mr. Zheng Haining and Ambassador Assistant Gulmammadli Mahdi.
Greeting the guests, the Rector's International Relations Advisor, Professor Chingiz Ismailov noted the importance of expanding comprehensive cooperation with the PRC in education and science, as one of the priorities of BSU's development strategy, as well as the need for co-operation in terms of studying Chinese history and culture.
Guest Yu Zhigan, in turn, expressed his satisfaction with the development of cooperation between China and Azerbaijan and stressed their interest in expanding ties with Baku State University.
Then, Dean of the University for Foreign Students Gulheyran Rahimova and Head of the Department of Far East Languages ​​and Literature, Professor Jalilbekli Ogtay delivered speeches.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation between Chinese universities and Baku State University, exchanging students and teachers, conducting joint research and drafting the projects. During the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the Confucius Institute at Baku State University.
