The students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies were awarded with the Medal of the Ministry of Higher Education of Egypt

Second year students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Baku State University participated in the "Learn Egypt" project organized jointly by the Baku State University and the Center for Culture and Education of the Egyptian Arab Republic in Azerbaijan. The presentation of the project took place on November 16 in the Center for Culture and Education of the Egyptian Arab Republic in Azerbaijan. Opening the event, the Head of the Center, Ahmed Sami Eates, welcomed the participants, spoke about the importance of Arabic language, the special role of such events in the encouragement of students and wished success to the students participating in the project. Later, the lecturer of the chair of Arabic philology of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, head of the project, Ph.D. Kenul Eyvazova thanked the Center for the guidance of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, informed the event participants about the importance of studying the Arabic language, teaching Arabic language at the University and the first project in the field of "Learn Egypt", increasing the interest of such students in mastering the Arabic language, said he would give impetus to the development of experience and conversation skills. Mais Aghaverdiyev, the teacher of the Arabic Philology at BSU welcomed the participants and wished them success. Then the presentation of the project began.

It should be noted that the II course students consisted of 4 groups consisting of two persons.

Group I: Parvazli Heydar, Sayilov Imran - History of Egypt;

Group II: Farzaliyeva Jale, Zamanova Lala - geography of Egypt;

Group III: Bagirova Arzu, Heydarli Aydan - Capital of Egypt
- Cairo city;

Group IV: Habibova Elvina and Gadirova Fidan - presentations about Egyptian culture.


The students demonstrated a great deal of preparation on Arabic language topics and made interesting presentations. The presentation was highly appreciated by the Egyptian Cultural Center and the participants.

Speaking after the presentation, the head of the Center, Ahmed Sami El Aidi, emphasized that the students made very interesting and creative speeches and wished such events to be sustainable. All students participating in the project were highly appraised and awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Egyptian Arab Republic.
