The first dissertation on Urdu literature was discussed

At the Department of Iranian Philology of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Baku State University, for the first time in Azerbaijan, a preliminary discussion of the dissertation for the PhD in Philology on the specialty of World Literature (Urdu Literature) was held. The dissertant of this chair Aygun Taghiyeva presented the dissertation on the theme "Mohammad Iqbal's lyrics (on the basis of Urdu poems)" to the specialists of the scientific community. She has studied at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Baku State University in 2001-2007. In 2005 he graduated from the bachelor degree in "Urdu language and literature", and in 2007 he graduated from the master's degree in the specialty "Urdu language" with honors diplomas. He has been working as a teacher at the Iranian Philology Department since 2009 and as a senior lecturer in 2017. The head of the Department of Iranian Philology, Professor Mehdi Kazimov, headed the dissertation. Six articles and three theses have been published on the subject of the plaintiff. The discussion was held under the chairmanship of Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Professor Elkhan Azizov.
