The 6th Persian Language Olympiad was held at BSU

The VI Persian language Olympiad was held on primary, secondary and higher levels  jointly by the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Baku State University and the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan.

Professor Elkhan Azizov, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Professor Mehdi Kazimov, Head of the Iranian Philology Department, and Asgar Farsi, Head of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan. The speakers noted that, along with Iranian poets such as Firdovsi, Sadi, Hafiz, Khayyam, who played an important role in the successful collaboration between Iran and Azerbaijan in Persian-language literature, Persian poetry, Azerbaijani poets Nizami, Fuzuli, Khatai, as well as the great poet Amir Khosrov Dehlivi they talked about.

Tests, dictations, speeches, translators and construction topics on the Persian language grammar have been presented at the Olympiad where about 150 participants from different high schools, including schools and high schools, have been registered.

The jury members were awarded diplomas and prizes after the winners were determined. Dean Elkhan Azizov, head of the Iranian Philology Department, Professor Mehdi Kazimov and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzade said that these Olympiads are important for the development of relations between the two countries, training qualified personnel in the country and checking students' knowledge.
