The Faculty of Oriental Studies held an online defense of master's dissertations in "Philology", "Linguistics (Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Japanese)" and "Literary Studies (Persian and Urdu literature)." The master's dissertation councils were chaired by professor Elkhan Azizov, professor Mehdi Kazimov, professor Ogtay Jalilbayli and professor Rufat Rustamov. The dissertation was defended in Azerbaijani and Russian languages. "On the history of word formation in modern Arabic linguistics", "Metathesis in the Holy Quran", "Toponyms in Hebrew sources", "Grammatical division of sentence members in Turkish", "Oghuz group in Turkic languages", The participants were interested in the dissertations on "Phoneme inventory of Azerbaijani and Persian languages", "Samname" poem by Khaju Kirmani, "Nim-e rah-e behesht" novel by Said Nafisi and other topics.  Supervisors and reviewers spoke positively about the work submitted for defense. He praised the scientific and professional training of masters, their ability to conduct scientific discussions, their ability to speak Eastern languages ​​fluently. The masters who defended the dissertation received a successful grade.
