On October 9, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev addressed the people of Azerbaijan.

-Dear compatriots.

Today, the victorious Azerbaijani Army liberated several settlements. I heartily congratulate all the people of Azerbaijan on this occasion.

I would like to bring to your attention the names of the liberated settlements: Hadrut settlement, Chayli village, Yukhari Guzlak village, Gorazilli village, Qishlag village, Garajalli village, Efendiler village, Suleymanli village, Sur village.

The liberation of these villages and the settlement of Hadrut is our historic victory. Azerbaijan is liberating the occupied territories. Good news comes from the front almost every day. Every day, our soldiers and officers perform their combat missions with honor. At the same time, they take more strategic positions by taking strategic heights. Thus, the operational plan is fully implemented, the operational plan is based on modern combat principles. Today, the Azerbaijani Army has a complete advantage on the battlefield, both in terms of logistics and combat readiness.

I must also say that the enemy does not have a single piece of military equipment belonging to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. The enemy tells tales and lies to his people. He falsifies the facts, wants to deceive his people, wants to deceive the international community, as if they are attacking, they have taken back some of our positions. It's all a lie. There is an objective observation of the battles, and any military expert can see that today the Azerbaijani Army has won on the battlefield. The Azerbaijani Army is showing its superiority. Azerbaijani soldiers and officers show high moral and psychological qualities, show moral spirit. Because we are fighting on our own land, we are liberating our own lands. Armenian soldiers are occupiers. The land where the war is going is not their land. They leave their positions and run away. However, over the past 30 years, a deeply echeloned defense system has been established along the line of contact and on several lines. Engineering and fortification facilities have been built. It is very difficult to break them, to cross them. In some cases, we need a few days to pass some fortifications. At the same time, we do everything to minimize losses. Therefore, in some cases, we have strengthened our positions in various directions, and then we are preparing for a new operation so that there is a maximum result, a minimum loss.

Today, the Azerbaijani flag is flying in the liberated lands. Today, Azerbaijani soldiers are guarding the trenches dug by Armenians in our occupied territories - they are not ours, we are in their trenches, we are in their posts, we are in their tanks. We now use that military equipment taken as booty - 18 tanks. Their tanks are now fighting them on the battlefield. This is the advantage of the Azerbaijani Army, our advantage. Today, it is shown in the open information space, on the Internet, how accurate, accurate fire is destroying the enemy's live equipment.

The enemy is panicking, the enemy is hysterical. The leadership of the enemy country is completely lost. He regularly calls different countries, heads of state and government of different countries, repeatedly, several times a day, asks for help, begs for help. He falls at their feet. Humiliate yourself, come and save us. The only way to save them is to leave our lands. We have said this many times, leave our lands voluntarily. Implement UN Security Council resolutions or you will regret it. Do you think that Azerbaijan will reconcile with this situation? It will not be reconciled, I have said many times.
