Lecturers of the Department of Arabic Philology visited Saudi Arabia
24/02/2020Lecturers of the Department of Arabic Philology of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Baku State University Demir Suleymanov, Heybat Heybatov and Gulnur Mahmud visited Saudi Arabia. The visit was organized by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the International Center for Arabic Language in Saudi Arabia and the Center for Arab Studies, established by the Baku Eurasian University, the Center for Arab Studies. The delegation also included Arab language teachers, scholars and journalists working in various institutions in Azerbaijan. During the visit, Azerbaijani specialists participated in trainings on "New methods of teaching Arabic" organized by King Abdulaziz University and shared their experience with local experts. In addition, the delegation familiarized with King Abdulaziz University, visited libraries and some institutes and faculties. The delegation also visited Jeddah city, especially historic sites and sites.
At the end of the training, the Azerbaijani delegation met with the rector of King Abdulaziz University and made suggestions for further development of educational relations between the two countries. At the end of the meeting, the rector of King Abdulaziz University awarded Azerbaijani specialists with certificates. After the training and official meetings in Jeddah, the delegation visited the holy places in Mecca and Medina.
