Baku State University hosts the 4th Baku Festival of Japanese Culture

Baku State University hosted the 4th Baku Festival of Japanese Culture with the organizational support of the Far Eastern Languages ​​and Literature Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University.

The opening speech was opened by the head of the Department of Far Eastern Languages ​​and Literature, Professor Ogtay Jalilbeyli.

Then there was a song contest, in which, along with BSU students, representatives of the Azerbaijan University of Languages ​​and schoolchildren from the 225th and 245th schools of the capital took part.

The festival featured a variety of sketches, as well as a cartoon "Jyrtdan" in Japanese.

In the second part of the festival a presentation of origami, sushi, Japanese cuisine, tea ceremony, kimono and ikebana took place. In separate rooms there was an exhibition of origami and flowers. Guests of the event tasted tea, sweets, tried on a kimono and yukata - traditional clothes of the Japanese.

The festival was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Japan and the Azerbaijan-Japan Friendship Association.
