The Chair of Arabic philology
The chair has been established in 1991 on the basis of the chair of Arabic language and the chair of the Literature of Middle East, both established in 1957.
The staff of the chair carry out research on current issues in the study of the Arabic and Hebrew languages, Arab and Jewish literature and also prepare manuals and dictionaries. The chair includes 3 Doctors of Science and Professors, 8 PhDs and Associate Professors, 9 Senior Lecturers, 8 Lecturers, 1 Replacement Lecturer and 5 Laboratory Assistants.
